Jailbreak for iPhone 4s and iPad 2 iOS 5.1 is being worked on

posted Mar 11, 2012, 9:22 PM by BubbleBurst W

Since Apple released an updated firmware iOS 5.1, several jailbreakers found therelease a little bit too temptation . Who could blame them, right! Well they could blame themselves for losing a rare and much waited for jailbreak.
Well, enough of feeling sorry, or wanting to kill your self (little bit of sense of humor) Pod2g has announced "that he is working on a jailbreak". As you all may already know, jailbreaking the iDevices sporting the A5 underneath, is difficult and requires a great deal of time. SInce the process requires the exploration of the hashes and packaging. In other words, Pod2g needs to find an unsecure exploit in order to accomplish a proper jailbreak.
Let's keep our finger crossed in hopes that this will not be a 4 month wait, as the ios 5.0.1 jailbreak had been.

posted Oct 18, 2011, 7:49 AM by BubbleBurst W   [ updated Oct 18, 2011, 8:09 AM ]

The long awaited iOS5 has been officially released along with the new iPhone 4s on October 14th, 2011. Just as any jailbreaker would expect the Dev-Team released it's redsn0w jailbreak only hours after the new iPhone and Firmware or the iOS5 was release. The current version of the jailbreak is UnTethered however, that is expected to change sometime within the next week or two.
UnTethered Version of a jailbreak requires user to reconnect and untether after each boot. Download Redsn0w version 9.9.9b6 compatible with iOS5

Follow instructions on Redsn0w to jailbreak iOS5

Jailbreak The Latest Apple Firmware 4.3.3 W/redsn0w

posted May 21, 2011, 7:38 AM by BubbleBurst W

Jailbreak the latest apple iPhone, iTouch, iPad and Apple T.V using redsn0w's latest release. Download Here. There is something quite interesting behind the fast and efficient way the Dev-Team have been able to Hack apples firmware only days after its release. Truth be told, apple simply didn't bother to actually path up the exploit.

Directly from dev-teams blog

Some things to note:

  1. ultrasn0w unlockers must stay away from redsn0w!  Use only a custom IPSW to update to 4.3.3, to avoid updating your base-band.  There are plenty of tutorials for both redsn0w and PwnageTool at sites like i Clarified.com.  Or feel free to ask away in our comments section below.
  2. ultrasn0w has been updated to v1.2.3 to be compatible with iOS 4.3.3 and earlier (the ultrasn0w update does not include any new base-band support!).  Please reboot your iPhone using the normal “slide to power off” swipe after installing ultrasn0w 1.2.3.
  3. By popular demand, redsn0w now allows you to enable multitasking gestures (although most will find it useful only on iPads).
  4. iPad2 update:  The iPad2 jailbreak remains under development.  As you may know, the original exploit @comex developed in the first week of the iPad2 release was mysteriously fixed by Apple within days of its development.  Partly because of this, don’t expect much public discussion of the iPad2 jailbreak until it’s actually finished and ready for release (and please avoid asking about it).  In all liklihood, it will be a userland exploit like the first (unreleased) one, not dependent on bootrom dumps.  The first one can’t be released even for those with the original 4.3 firmware due to legal (distribution) reasons.

iPhone 5 Rumored Features and release date.

posted Apr 20, 2011, 7:31 PM by BubbleBurst W   [ updated Apr 20, 2011, 7:36 PM ]

Now that the rumors are out regarding iPhone 5, you might find yourself asking "What apple has instore for one of the worlds most popular phones?"
Well the following are just a few rumors going around regarding certian possible features on the iPhone 5.
First and most obvious rumor would be the A5 process chip, which might be expected, since currently sporting such feature is the iPad 2.
What A5 would mean to the iPhone 5. The A5 contains a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore CPU and a dual-core PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU. Apple lists the A5 to be clocked at 1 GHz on the iPad 2's technical specifications page, though it can dynamically adjust its frequency to save battery. It would be expected to provide the same advanced aspects to the iPhone 5.
The second widely spread rumor is the larger screen displayed. The rumors being spread is that the screen would be bigger, however I do believe this feature would be implemented since currently a wide range of mobile giants have been implementing such features. However I don't expect the screen display to be around 4".
Then we have the rumor regarding the iPhone 5 housing, which claims a full metal housing. Others claim the housing to be a liquidmetal housing. If you are not familiar with liquid metal then here is a bit of a definition regarding liquid metal. For starters Liquid metal is twice as strong as titanium and as bendable as plastic. With that in mind one can only imagine how resistant to dents and drops this feature might have.
Another rumored feature is video and picture quality. Certian websites and blogs have speculated a 7-8 megapixal camera to be implemented and a 5 megapixal front face camera to replace the current 1.3 megapixal it is currently sporting.
As more and more rumors are being spread about the current and future aspects on the new iPhone 5. I can only sit and wait for its release. Which is rumored to be ( June 2011 or mid-December)
